    Air Arabia restores daily Ras Al Khaimah Kozhikode flights

    RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will resume daily nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode, India, on October 16, 2026. The service will restore a direct air link between the UAE emirate and the coastal city in Kerala. The airline announced the restart on October 6 and said passengers can book the route now. The daily operation will reconnect Ras Al Khaimah International Airport with Kozhikode International Airport in southern India.

    Air Arabia said the resumed route will provide passengers with direct daily connectivity between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also known as Calicut, lies on Kerala’s Malabar Coast in southern India. The airline did not publish detailed departure and arrival times in its October 6 announcement. It also did not specify the aircraft type or flight numbers for the resumed daily service. Those details were absent from the latest release.

    Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer of Air Arabia, said the carrier was pleased to restore the direct connection. He said the daily service would offer customers a convenient link between the two cities. Al Ali also said the airline remained focused on providing reliable travel options and connecting communities. The company cited travel demand between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode in announcing the route’s return. It did not disclose passenger forecasts or traffic estimates.

    Daily service restores Kerala connection

    The Kozhikode route adds to Air Arabia’s nonstop network from Ras Al Khaimah. The carrier currently lists Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar among its direct destinations from the emirate. The restored India service will expand that lineup from October 16. Air Arabia has operated from Ras Al Khaimah since May 2014, when it established operations at Ras Al Khaimah International Airport. The carrier has maintained the emirate as one of its UAE operating bases since then.

    The carrier first launched nonstop flights between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode on November 22, 2023. At launch, the route operated three times a week using Airbus A320 aircraft. Those flights ran on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The 2026 resumption raises the announced frequency to daily service. However, the airline has not confirmed whether the previous flight numbers or departure times will apply to the restored schedule.

    Bookings open ahead of October restart

    Passengers can book the resumed flights through Air Arabia’s website, its call centre or travel agencies. The airline confirmed those booking channels when it announced the October restart. The latest release did not state when the earlier service stopped or give a reason for the interruption. It also did not announce fares, detailed operating times or an aircraft assignment for the new daily schedule. The carrier’s statement focused on the restart date, frequency and direct city pair.

    The October 16 restart returns Kozhikode to Air Arabia’s Ras Al Khaimah network nearly three years after the route first began. The service will again provide a nonstop connection between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala. Air Arabia’s announcement confirms daily frequency from the restart date, while other schedule details remain undisclosed. Travelers seeking exact timings, flight numbers or fares can use the airline’s booking channels for current availability. The carrier has not announced any additional changes to the route.
